My name is Katie Barrett and my Grandfather was John Barrett (later known as Jack). My Grandfather died in 1997, however, my Grandmother recently gave me details of his accounts during his service in the Royal Navy (H.M.S. Hambledon) and at her request I have posted these on the WW2 website.

I hope these are met with interest with others that also served in the Royal Navy and myself and my Grandmother would welcome comments from anyone who also served on Hambledon or has any memories of the ship.
