These World War Two stories have been collected from members of the community of Melling with Wrayton in Lancashire. They were gathered by juniors from St Wilfrid's Primary School with the assistance of Sue Flowers of Green Close Studios.
It is hoped that this process has made the War more meaningful to our children and those of us who have no recollection of the events which took place between 1939 and 1945 "...lest we forget."
