My name is Denis. I'm 65 years young, married with two children and three grandchildren.
I was born in Oldham in 1938 and lived in Foundry St during the last war. I have a real interest in most things military, especially historic facts about the two world wars and the conflict in Malaya, in which I served in the RAF, stationed at RAF Seletar working on Sunderland Flying Boats.
Both my children served in the armed forces. Sally, my daughter, served for 8years in the RAF and my son Tim who is still in the Army after 22 years with the rank of SMI.
I now live in Rochdale, with Margaret, my wife for the last 42 years, and enjoy bowling - both codes - gardening, writing and walking.
