My name is Bill Critten I joined the Royal Navy in 1942.Inthe newly formed Combined Operations and done my training for this in scotland.From there I joined HMS Glengyle.IN the newly formed 120 LCA flotila from which I saw action at Sicerly. Salerno anzio.
From there to HMS Hilary for the landing at Elba
I then joined MV DILWARA for the landings in the
South of France at Nice where we landed the American troops.I then returned to UK and joined
the 660 LCM flotillafor the Rhine crossings 1945
