My name is Wayne Brigginshaw and I am a nephew of Ralph Brigginshaw who was a signalman on HMS Hardy, he was injured when the ship was struck by the German fleet. His parents and my father, who lived in Swindon did not know of this and presumed missing in action.
A plaque was placed in the local church to honor him, we now laugh about this seeing that returned home safe and sound many months after.
