Hello. I was born in 1961 so WW2 was just something we learnt about in History lessons.I was born and raised in Lincolnshire and still live in the Bomber County. I have worked for the Forestry Commission since leaving school and am trying to log a history of the forest in which I work. Laughton forest near Gainsborough was apparently the final resting place for at least 2 planes during WW2. I have collected various items of debris from one site but can find no written evidence anywhere of a crash in the woods. Within a 5 mile radius of the forest were the airfields of Blyton,Hemswell and Kirton. Please help if you can.
