2004 sees the 60th anniversary of D-Day - 6th June. As a child I always thought of this as Dad's Day as his birthday was 6th June. It was just after his birthday in June 1940 that he was captured at St. Valery-en-Caux to begin five years as POW.

Just before he died in 1993 I transcribed his story from his notes. This has been submitted to the WW2 People's War website as 'Henry Lund's War'. It amounts to seven chapters in all, starting in December 1939 and finishing with his return to England in May 1945.
