I am a New Zealander with ties to the
UK through my forbears.
My maternal forbears emigrated to NZ on the 'Michaelango' in 1874. They came from
Lancashire and settled on the West Coast
My paternal forbears emigrated from
Cornwall on the 'Cardigan Castle'
they were coal miners and settled on the
West Coast of the South Island.
I am a member of the NZ Genealogist
Society.
I was unaware of the Uncles war effort
until after he had died and I had been given
his papers. Copies of these are now in the
Military Museum at Waiouru.
