As a war baby, born in 1943, I have no personal memories of the war period myself. My first memories are of just after the war when I remember we lived in a prefab and that I bought the family sweets [for myself and 2 younger brothers] with a ration card. My posting of this era will therefore be the memories of my parents, Agnes and Harry.
My personal interest is history, particularly local history as [like this website] it tells the story of the people. Amongst other interests, which I have shelved during my working life, I am researching my family history.
