I was evacuated from Lowestoft at the tender age of five, with my brother Geoffrey aged eight.
We were sent to Barlborough in Derbyshire where we lived briefly with a Mr and Mrs Hibbard or Hibberd and their son, also Geoffrey, who would now be 71-72 years old.
Mr Hibbard was a miner, and they lived in a Crescent, the name of which I cannot recall.
My brother Geoffrey died eight years ago aged 63.
Does anybody know of Geoffrey Hibbard and his whereabouts now? It would be interesting to hear of his recollections of those far off days.
