I'm a professional historian, with a strong interest in military history. The subject of my family story, Owen Reed, was my grandfather. After the war he became head of Children's TV at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½. He told me about some of his wartime activities many years ago, and gave me his surviving papers. I then succeeded in finding futher documents on his wartime service in the Public Record Office. The result, after some years of writing, is a book entitled 'Our Man in Yugoslavia: The Story of a Secret Service Operative', which will be published by Frank Cass later this year.
