Introducing Myself:
I was born in 1932, a farmer’s son, in Lavamünd, Austria. Our small farm was situated on the mountain called Magdalensberg with a view down into the Drau valley where, during the war, the Nazis were building a hydro-electric power plant. Next to this building site was a small camp (Arbeitslager, STALAG XVIII) of Allied POWs who had to work there.

I am writing about:

The SS, the POWs, the Partisans and the British Liberation
(1944-45)
