I was born in 1936 and was therefore 9 years old when the war ended. I still have very vivid memories some of which I have already contributed.
I intend to write more in the coming weeks.
I am glad to have found an opportunity to `air` my memories thoughts and feelings about this early but very formative period in my life.
I am now 68 years old and have lived in Canada for the past 35 years. I am always amused when I hear Canadians talk about their `privations` during wartime. They can hardly believe it when I tell them what we existed on during those terrible years. I look forward to read about other peoples memories and experiences.

Duncher.
