My daughter is helping me by typing out my notes so that they are legible. My wartime experiences started when I enlisted in May 1942 into the 51st Training Regiment, and spent several weeks at Catterick Camp.

I served with the 40th Royal Tank Regiment (R.T.R) 23rd Armoured Brigade.
