The Green Howards Gazette February 1941:
"The King has been pleased to approve of undermentioned award in recognition of gallant conduct in action with the enemy;
The DISTINGUISHED Conduct Medal C.S.M James McDonald The Green Howards."
Any info on this please, or from anybody who attended at the ceremony at Buckingham Palace with my mother and grandfather.
