My father was a POW in Italy from April 1941 till the Armistice of 8 September 1943. I'm interested in all I can find out about that. I have done quite a bit of research, however, on the period he spent at large in Italy before being re-captured on 19 November 1943, and also on the roughly three months after he escaped again. He got over into Switzerland on 24 February 1944 and remained there till the end of that year. This I know a little about but would love to find out more.
