Hello There
My name is Sandra Elvins (nee Cummings), I was born in Sunderland in 1954. I now live in Worcestershire with my husband and 2 grown up children.

My Dad - Gordon Cummings - was in the Durham Light Infantry, he was taken prisoner at Dunkirk on 12 July 1940. He was a P O W throught the war and liberated on 29th March 1945. His discharge from the army was on 26th October 1945.

I know very little about his wartime experiences, he was very reticent.I would love to find out more!
