I was born in December 1936 in East London and was sent to Bere Regis in Dorset in November 1939, the tme of the phoney war but went back to London in the January 1940. My family Mum Dad a brother and sister move to Peckham then Dulwich due to our houses being bombed. We then moved to Dagenham because a Flying Bomb damaged the house, We were then sent to Norfolk when the V2s started arriving, We almost became victims there when a V2 landed behind our cottage but we were all in school. I was slightly injured in the Dulwich bomb but we and all my relations survived the war we were lucky.
