I served in this division from 1942 to 1946 in 350 battery based at New Eltham, Wmbledon Common and Primrose Hill. I was an A T S attatched to the Royal Artillery as a Gun Layer.{ radar]. I was at New Eltham site. . It is no secret now to say that our gun [singular] was a 5.25 twin barreled ex naval gun.We were the only battery to have such guns.
As I had added a couple of years to my age and I am now 78 this year it is likely that apart from my 5 lifelong friends, two of whom have died not many people will remember that stroppy little blonde with attitude.I remember so many of the people I served with and wonder if any of you are reading this . If so I would like to hear from you. Pte . Shankster G.L. wallah. at pjthom 76@aol.com
