I have set up this user name for my father-in-law so that I can submit his story.
He put it on cassette tape for me to transcribe.
I have read the stories/posts on this site of others in a similar situation to him so I hope that others find his contribution of interest. I sent him a printed a copy of John Savage's story as another member of the 5th Battalion of the HLI and he was amazed at the amount of detail that John wrote about.
