I do not have a personal story to tell, however, I am a library volunteer and I am actively involved in "The People's War" project which is currently being promoted by my local library.

At present, I am in contact with five people who wish to tell of their personal experiences and I hope to be able to put their stories on this website shortly.

To date, I have attended two sessions. The library has "reminiscence boxes" which contain such items as ration books, posters, local photographs, knitting patterns etc. Once these are opened, memories are jogged and the conversation has been non-stop.

I have found it incredibly interesting to listen to what people have had to say. I look forward to talking more to those who have expressed an interest in putting their stories on the website, with a little help from me.
