My name is Barrie Skelcher. I was born in Birmingham in 1932 and lived in the city through out the war. My parents decided not to have me evacuated although I was their only child. We lived in a new semi-detached house at Hallgreen on the outskirts of Birmingham. My Father ran a 1939 Ford 8 reg BOJ855.

I now live in Suffolk, where I have spent the greater part of my working life in the nuclear power industry.
