I am Frederick Sidney Lee. I served in the Royal Air Force from the beginning of 1944 to the end of 1947. I joined as Aircrew but was never trained as such eventually being remustered for training as a Radar Mechanic. During my service I was an extra in a Film about the RAF; an office Clerk in a pay unit, did a spell of flat cleaning in premises to be derequisitioned and not least helped feed the Nation by doing Spud Picking. Four years and the highest I got was the top of Blackpool Tower on the night I was about to be demobbed.
