I was two years old when the war started and I lived in Coventry. my father was called up at the start of the war and was in the army for six years. My mother, brother and I were advised to leave Coventry. My brother went with an aunt to Cannock and my mother and I went to Kenilworth. I had to be billeted as an evacuee and my mother worked in the Food Office there.
