I wrote my almost unbelievable story 2 days ago. I called myself 'trivia106' and since then I have tried >50 times to change it for my real name. Either the software is not working or the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ have decided that the content of my communication was too much of an indictment of the stupidity of the RAF. My real name is David Procter and I am almost 87. I live alone in a rather remote spot in Hampshire. This is my first house which I bought 48 years ago for £2500. There is more than an acre of land which is now neglected and wild. I am surrounded everywhere by fields. The village is about ½ mile away. I have no relations and in very poor health but I felt that I should tell my srory of ww2 which most certainly deserves to be told.
Perhaps nobody will ever read it, but somebody somewhere might realise that my life was permanently damaged, not by enemy action, but by the RAF and the MOD. I still have all my records.
I am glad that I have done this. D.P.
