I am the nephew of George who was captured in the Calais assault with the !st Battalion in 1940. He was held prisoner in Stalag XXA (pow no.11706) for the duration of the war in Zempelburg and for some of his time worked for a farmer Karl Schwanker. Does this mean anything to anyone?
