In his younger years, 'Howie' spent seven years working as a motor insurance underwriter. Unable to contain his excitement at the end of a telephone it wasn't long before a twist of fate thrust him behind the microphone into the glitzy world of radio. Unexpectedly, Howard found himself deputising for a late show presenter who’d had a nasty accident with a tube of muscle rub and was unable to do his programme. We'll save the story of how 'deep heat' took on a new meaning, for another time.
Suffice to say a long-lasting radio career was born and Howard's been a familiar voice in certain Yorkshire parts for some years now havingÌý presented every shift on radio.
