Each spring the dawn chorus can be heard across the UK’s countryside, towns and even cities.

On a cold and dark mid-April morning, the RSPB’s Ian Higginson headed to the tranquil setting of Blacktoft Sands near Goole, to listen to this year’s dawn chorus.
