Donor diaries Part 1

When Ruth was asked to help her sister Shan start a family, she discovered just what people will go through in order to have a child.

Shan is one of a growing number of women who have successful careers before settling down. At 40 her chances of getting pregnant through natural means had diminished. Added to that was a fear that a genetic condition, which had left her husband Steve blind, might be passed on to her child.
