ADMIRAL LORD COLLINGWOOD

Collingwood House

Morpeth - the family home

Collingwood's family home was located on MorpethÂ’s oldest street, Oldgate. He described the "beautiful views which are nowhere to be exceeded". He loved the beauties of his garden which he claimed were the work of his own hands, "I planned everything and planted almost every tree, every honeysuckle and every rose bush". Collingwood's home is now a priests' residence.
