The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ iPlayer app is available on connected TV devices that have been tested and meet our standards to ensure you have a good ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ iPlayer experience. We only test devices that have been provided by manufacturers. When a TV has passed our tests and we have agreements from the manufacturer, we refer to it as certified.
We can only make sure the device delivers a good ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ iPlayer experience if it's been certified.
If the device isn't certified, we don't support it, soÌýyou may experience issues with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ iPlayer on those devices.

What if my TV isn't certified?
There are a few reasons why a TV may not be certified by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½:
- Sometimes certification can take a while if an issue or bug has been detected that affects the user experience. In such instances, the manufacturer may need to look into the underlying issue and attempt to resolve it before we can reassess its suitability for certification.
- If your TV is a new model, it’s possible that it’s awaiting certification. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ cannot comment on a particular device under certification, but you could speak to the manufacturer.
- AÌýTV might be an older model whose technology can’t be updated any more, meaning our technology doesn't function well with it any more.
If your TV isn't certified, you can still get ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ iPlayer by connecting another device toÌýit. Head to theÌýHelp choosing a device to connect to your existing TV page for more information.
