The war was over and there was a real feel good factor when the Lancashire League match in 1949Ìýbetween Rawtenstall and Bacup attracted a crowd of some 10,000 people.

The memorable derby game featured cricket legends Vijay Hazare and Everton Weekes and it was captured on film.

Chris Rider went to Rawtenstall Cricket Club to speak those who playedÌýin the match and those whoÌýwatched it.
