Gawthorpe Hall, Padiham

17th century country house and home to the Shuttleworth family for over 300 years. Many rooms were remodelled in the 19th century by renowned architect Sir Charles Barry. Charlotte Brontë was a family friend of the Shuttleworths and spent time here.
