The
majority of the tower will be residential, with the upper 22 floors
dedicated to luxury loft-style apartments.
The
eight lower floors will be used for offices, shops and restaurants.
The building site is located on a 1.5 acre site overlooking Granary
Wharf.

Bridgewater
Place |
Full
planning consent has been given for the building, which, at 110
metres high, will dominate the Leeds skyline once it is completed.
The
tallest building in Leeds at present is West Riding House at 80
metres. This is followed by both the Royal Exchange House and Tower
House, both at 77 metres.
Bridgewater
Place tops these buildings easily, and it is thought it will be
the tallest building in the North once it is completed.
However,
with plans for a 500-foot twin tower in Liverpool and an 805 foot
tower called Arena Central proposed in Birmingham, it may not keep
this position for long.
