Today
was planned to be a rest day but we changed so the ride was to go
to Cannes. It never quite worked out and Jane ended up in Cagnes Sur
Mer which Jane has described as being like Blackpool.
She
seems to have tonight the noisiest room on the Riviera although
it's hard to have any sympathy when you're stuck in Leeds facing
work tomorrow.
Jane
has planned the route based on areas that she would like to see.
Not often the most direct but often that with outstanding natural
beauty and tomorrow is no exception.
Jane
and Luke will cycle what is one of the most dramatic natural sights
in Europe the Gorges du Verdon. The Gorge in places reaches 2,000
feet through uninhabited country with incredible viewpoints. The
ride will be tough but the scenery fantastic.
The
cycling now will be hard until Monday with Mont Ventoux looming
ever closer.
The
fund-raising has been brilliant with over £40,000 in since
the ride started. It does make the effort that much more worthwhile.
