Circumstances
conspired to make this an unscheduled rest day. The plan was to
stop south of Paris yesterday and to travel through Paris today
to a stop to the north.
Because
Jane and Luke were invited for two nights at the Embassy the result
were two longer days Tuesday and Thursday with a rest today.
I don't
think either cyclist expected the grand way they have been treated
in Paris. The whole experience has been one that with live with
them forever. It has been an oasis of luxury. Their thanks go to
all the staff who made their stay so enjoyable. On top of that they
raised 2500 Euro for the appeal.
Jane
has decided to extend the journey in northern France and will now
travel to Lille on Saturday extending the journey by 60 miles. This
is partly because accommodation is difficult to get on the Northern
French coast because of a national French holiday and the D-Day
celebrations.

Tomorrow
they head off for a hair-raising journey across Northern Paris.
A return to the UK is looming on Monday and Leeds is almost in sight.
