We
had anticipated a busy day but not quite as manic as it turned out.
Sometimes events conspire to make a day troublesome and that's how
today was. Although the cycling wasn't long there were a lot of
interviews and photos. The cycle through London today wasn't as
bad as yesterday but it was still a relief to know they are safe.
Highlight
of the day was Jane's interview at Bloomberg TV. Jane described
the building as plush, Luke was impressed by the hospitality and
good-looking ladies. The fundraising has reached the £100,000
with it tonight standing at £120,000. We are grateful for
all the support which has fired our enthusiasm.
Plans
are being made for the finish on Monday which will be at 1.30pm
at the Town Hall, Leeds with everyone welcome to come and cheer
them in.
I know
both Jane and Luke will be relieved to be at home. Jane said this
morning she would have been ill in bed with the pain she's suffered
in the last four days had she not been on the ride.
Tomorrow
they head off to Oxford, it should be an easy ride of only 45 miles.
There are only five days cycling left with a real feel that they
may actually make it back to Leeds.
To
consider driving from Rome to Leeds could scare people so it will
be no mean achievement.

the full diary and the bike route.
