Ben's born to be wild!

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leicester's Breakfast presenter, Ben Jackson, has pledged to ride a motorbike from Leicester to John O'Groats to raise money for the Ruby Rainbow Appeal. Watch his first lesson...

Breakfast presenter Ben Jackson set himself a challenge on air to raise money for the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leicester Ruby Rainbow Appeal.

He's going to get sponsorship to ride on an old-fashioned motorbike from Leicester to the furthest north tip of the UK, John O'Groats.

Ben's never ridden a motorbike before, and he says he found getting on the bike for the first time a bit daunting:

"I didn't dare have the bike move at all left or right because I thought I was going to fall off!"

Ben Jackson, Breakfast presenter

"I felt so nervous the first time I got onto the bike because it seemed heavy and I've ridden a push bike loads of times but it just seemed so unwieldy and I didn't dare have the bike move at all left or right because I thought I was going to fall off!"

But after some top tips from Shires Motorcycle Training instructor Gareth Taylor and a couple of trips around the car park, Ben was looking like he could give Dennis Hopper a run for his money!
