My Memory

The street in the photo is Nile Street which led up toÌýSt. James RoadÌýand the Anglican Cathedral.

Alex Meikle has identified this Street as Nile Street

TheÌýrailings on the left of the picture near the car are the David Lewis. The pub in the centre I think was the Lord Nelson.Ìý

The Midland bank is/was a 2nd hand furniture salesroom and was located on the corner of St. James Street and Great George Street. The street was a favourite of Driving Test Examiners for hill starts.
