Rose Neill

Rose Neill

Rose Neill is a television newscaster, and presenter for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Newsline.

Rose was educated at The Mount School, York in England, and at the City and East London College where she studied Optics.

Her broadcasting career began in 1977 for Ulster Television as a children's television presenter, and later moved to a role as a newscaster and continuity announcer at the station.

In 1985, Rose was invited to work for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Northern Ireland as a newsreader/anchor on its main evening bulletin Inside Ulster and its other news bulletins. Rose is presently the longest serving news reader on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Northern Ireland, and continues to anchor news programmes for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Newsline, mainly for the Breakfast News , the 22.30 main evening news, and some weekend bulletins.

Rose also contributes to many ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Northern Ireland TV and radio shows including the Children in Need programmes. She also is involved with the NI Mother & Baby Appeal and she is the Honorary Patron of the the Ulster Cancer Foundation. Rose has just become chairperson of Riding for the Disabled.

Rose's hobbies include riding, hunting, snow and water skiing, and she has travelled extensively from a very early age.
