Recycling depots to close

Derry City Council has been criticised over it plans to close down two of its civic amenity sites.

One of the sites under threat is the council's second most popular re-cycling depot which deals with around five thousand tonne of waste every year.

Illegal dumping

Fly-tipping in Londonderry

The Council says it had to take the decision to keep rates down but locals fear it could lead to an increase in illegal dumping.
