For the last week I’ve been around my friend Carrie’s because my
parents have been on holiday in Spain.
At school there have been quite a few things happening.
The National Youth Festival for Music: we applied to be at one of
their gigs and yesterday a letter came through saying that we had
got through, which is great.
Also, the Birmingham NEC gig: we did this last
year and it was one of our biggest and best performances. They’ve
invited us back this year and so hopefully that will be even better.

My weekend wasn’t exactly brilliant. I’m actually grounded at the
moment. It’s not a laughing matter. I disobeyed my mum and lost
her trust. I really regret doing that. I won’t say what I did because
it makes me sound terrible. It’s nothing too bad but I lost my mum’s
trust and I hate that.
On Friday night I worked, Saturday night I baby-sat, Sunday night
I stayed at home. So, it hasn’t been that interesting. But it did
make me realise that, however interesting your social life is, it's
good to have a sit down and relax.
I’ve been learning about this new computer programme where you sing
your songs into the computer and play your songs into the computer
through computer files. It then prints them out on a musical score
for you. You can also make your own CDs.
It costs a lot of money but I’m getting supported by the Jacqueline
McGee Trust so I can buy this. It's quite expensive and my parents
wouldn’t be able to afford it because I might have to go out and
buy a computer to go with it.
I just want to thank the Jacqueline McGee Trust and the Rotary Club
in Watton because without their support I wouldn’t have got very
far.

This is going to be the last time that you hear from me because
I’ve been really busy with my GCSE mocks.
What will I be doing in the future? I’m going to carry on with my
job. It’s going well. I didn’t think that I would be able to stick
a proper job but it looks like I can.
School? I’m just going to keep on going. I’ve been
having some problems recently with sleep, but you’re teenager, you’re
at high school, it happens. Hopefully in the far future I’d like
to spend more time recording my own music because when I leave Wayland
I’m not going to have Illusive behind me. I just want to say something
that I think is really important.
If in ten years' time I was one of the richest
women in the world, I’d like it to be because of my music and not
my image. But for now I’m in Watton and I’m going to keep doing
what I’m doing. Hopefully my musical will get there.
My school, my friends, my family: you can’t give them any more credit.
And my dad, rest in peace, he’s what got me here and I want to thank
him for that. I also want to thank the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ for letting me do this
because it’s been an experience for me.
Hopefully you’ll see my name in lights in ten years. I’ll probably
get back to you when things start slowing down a bit. Or maybe fame
will beat me to it? I don’t know. Anyway, speak to you soon.
