Last Week (3)

Well here it goes...

Last Tuesday, I was strolling to Henry's house when I heard something- a voice. Almost an unearthly voice. "Help, help", the voice said as I got closer. A few seconds later, I saw him. Henry was towering over a body. A dead body. Blood was strewn over the pavement like a baby's first picture. But worse. "Murder", Henry stuttered as he came closer a bloody dagger clutched in his hand. "Murder" he said again. Henry's eyes started to roll. The dagger flew forward but I caught it. Snatched the dagger and ran for it. Almost tripping on the way.

Later the next day, I was walking back to Henry's house (see how his community service was going) when I heard it. The same voice again. "Help help!"

A few seconds later, I saw Henry towering over the same body, the same blood. The same DAGGER! "C'mon Dad you can get up now", Henry said joyfully. "What?" I spluttered. I felt so relieved to know that the whole thing was a set up...
