Jeremy Buxton is always prepared to do whatever is necessary in the line of duty. So when he was asked if he would once again slip into his Santa suit and host the second York Santa Dash, he jumped at the chance.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio York has once again teamed up with the British Heart Foundation for this fun event which was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday 14th December but has now been rearranged for Sunday 21st December.

Jeremy will be live on air as usual from the Tower Gardens in York, starting at 10am. This year's special guest is ACE from the hit TV show Gladiators who is performing in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Grand Opera House in York.

Anyone - from toddlers to older people - can take part, dress up and have fun regardless of age and ability. The Santa Dash starts at 10.30am in the Tower Gardens and covers a distance of just one mile. You can complete the course in your own time and at a comfortable pace.

The entry fee is a minimum donation of £5 for adults, which includes a free adult size Santa suit. Children are being encouraged to come in fancy dress and can enter the Dash free, although under 16 year olds need to be accompanied by an adult. There will be a fancy dress competition at the end of the run.
