So what's the answer? The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s local radio stations are broadcast on multiplexes run by commercial operators and are licensed by OFCOM. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ is allocated capacity for its local radio services on these local multiplexes when they are launched. So the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ is only able to make a local radio service available on DAB when a local multiplex has been established. At present the multiplex for North Yorkshire has not been launched which means the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ is not able to offer ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio York on DAB yet. Commercial company MuxCo were awarded a Digital Radio licence to cover North Yorkshire in December 2007. The company currently aim to launch the service in December 2009. Listeners wishing to find out more about local multiplexes in their area should contact OFCOM. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio York's analogue frequenciesYork, Selby and central North Yorkshire: 103.7 FM or 666 AM.
