With a name like Joey Chickenskin, your first question has to be where does it come from?

"I can't really say. It's quite grim, quite x-rated... My friend said I should think up a clean version of the story. I said what am I going to use?

"What story could you set up where the punch-line would be that you call yourself Joey Chickenskin?"

So, we'll have to leave it to the imagination.

Joey is a serious musician, frequently agonising over his songwriting, but the fun is never far away.

"There is an element of comedy but I see myself as a musician...

"I haven't really got the confidence to sit there in a room full of people and pour my heart out about real things.

"I am prepared to sit down and write funny songs. I try to make it as light-hearted as possible [and] when I go out there I try and have as much fun as possible."
