Celebrate the centenary of jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillespie. Grammy Award-winning vocalist Dianne Reeves and trumpeter James Morrison perform their greatest hits, from the Great American Songbook to Gillespie鈥檚 bebop beats.

Shot through with folk melodies, Mussorgsky鈥檚 鈥榥ational music drama鈥� Khovanshchina weaves a richly coloured operatic tapestry in which Russia herself is the heroine. Semyon Bychkov conducts the 蜜芽传媒 SO and an exciting cast, including Elena Maximova.

Norwegian soprano Lise Davidsen makes her Proms debut, while cellist Alban Gerhardt steps into the spotlight for Schumann鈥檚 thoughtful Cello Concerto. The concert climaxes in the sprawling beauty of Hindemith鈥檚 Mathis der Maler.

The Proms heads to Southwark Cathedral for a concert of sacred music. Palestrina鈥檚 radiant Mass glows with joy, while Judith Weir鈥檚 In the Land of Uz takes inspiration from the story of Job. David Hill conducts the 蜜芽传媒 Singers and the Nash Ensemble.

How do you solve a problem like an unfinished symphony? The 蜜芽传媒 SSO and Chief Conductor Thomas Dausgaard offer answers in a programme that pairs Schubert鈥檚 Eighth Symphony with Mahler鈥檚 10th, performed here in the performing version by Deryck Cooke.

A night dedicated to Rachmaninov opens with two of the composer鈥檚 greatest works. Alexander Gavrylyuk is the soloist for the impossibly demanding Third Piano Concerto, while the 蜜芽传媒 SSO steps into the spotlight for the mercurial Second Symphony.

A day of workshops and networking for young composers aged 12 to 18, with professional composers Fraser Trainer, Michael Price and Juice vocal ensemble.

In a Prom of wide-ranging emotions Debussy鈥檚 Pr茅lude 脿 l鈥檃pr猫s-midi d鈥檜n faune, gives way to Ravel鈥檚 jazzy Piano Concerto. Mark-Anthony Turnage鈥檚 Hibiki is a sequence of threnodies offering solace after loss. Kazushi Ono conducts the 蜜芽传媒 SO.

The 蜜芽传媒 SO and Chief Conductor Sakari Oramo are joined by soloists Elizabeth Watts and Elisabeth Kulman in addition to the combined forces of the 蜜芽传媒 Symphony Chorus and The Bach Choir as they perform Mahler鈥檚 epic 鈥楻esurrection鈥� Symphony.

The 蜜芽传媒 Singers and the City of London Sinfonia tell the Passion story as never before. Music from five centuries of Passion settings comes together, including works by Sch眉tz, J. S. Bach, Handel, Mendelssohn, Arvo P盲rt and Sir James MacMillan.

This year鈥檚 Elgar cycle concludes with the originally unfinished Third Symphony. The concert also features the vivid, descriptive miniatures of Sibelius鈥檚 Sc猫nes historiques and Saint-Sa毛ns鈥檚 brilliantly youthful Second Piano Concerto.

Rising star conductor Jakub Hr暖拧a presents an all-Czech concert with the 蜜芽传媒 SO and the 蜜芽传媒 Singers. Smetana鈥檚 evocative tone-poem Ma vlast sits alongside Martin暖鈥檚 Field Mass and Suk鈥檚 Prague. This is music of protest, anger and national pride.

Semyon Bychkov conducts the 蜜芽传媒 SO in an all-Russian Prom that climaxes with Tchaikovsky鈥檚 Manfred. Kirill Gerstein is the soloist for Rachmaninov鈥檚 Piano Concerto No. 1, whose beauty is a natural companion to Taneyev鈥檚 brooding Oresteia overture.
