Triumph for The Weakest Link at Broadcast Awards

Against tough competition, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s The Weakest Link won "Most Successful International Programme" at the seventh annual Broadcast Awards 2002 last night. Pitched against Inspector Morse and Trans World, the programme was praised for its impact across the globe and its position as a key revenue generator for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Worldwide.

Other ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ winners were Blue Planet for Best Documentary Series and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Newsround for Best Children's Programme.


Colin Jarvis, Director of Programming & Operations, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Worldwide said, "I am delighted The Weakest Link has been recognised as one of the UK's leading programme exports in the world television market.
