ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Worldwide Americas appoints Sales Director, Library Sales

Larry Aubrey has been appointed to the new position of Sales Director, East Coast and Latin America, Library Sales, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Worldwide Americas.

Reporting to Mark Fricker, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Worldwide's Director of Library Sales, Larry will head up the company's footage sales business on the East Coast of America and throughout Latin America.

Based at ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Worldwide Americas in New York, Larry will maximise business opportunities by developing and marketing all archive services. He will also manage customer accounts and will oversee third party representation such as the recently negotiated CBS News Archive agreement.

With extensive experience in stock footage sales and management including operations, archiving, e-commerce and research, Larry joins from the National Geographic Film Library where he was responsible for new business and sales development. Prior to this he was Vice President of Sales for Getty Images' Energy Film Library (1997 to 2000), Director of Sales at the Energy Stock Footage Library (1993 to 1997) and Director of Sales and Operations for Dreamlight Images (1980 to 1993).

Mark Fricker, commenting on the new appointment, said, "Larry's track record in the archive footage industry will be invaluable to our business. He joins at an exciting time when the business is going from strength to strength on both sides of the Atlantic and I am looking forward to working with him to further increase our foothold in the US market."

Larry is a graduate in film production, direction and writing as well as in psychology and business. He has written several screenplays and documentary films and is co-author of the "Footage Resource Book".
