ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i gives the vote to Fame Academy fans

Viewers of Fame Academy, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s new reality TV show, will be able to catch all the latest news, tears and tantrums, successes and failures, whenever and however they want it, as well as voting to save their favourite students through a raft of interactive services launching through ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i.


For Fame Academy addicts, there will be round-the-clock news updates, highlights packages, profiles and pictures available across all three digital interactive TV platforms, the internet, broadband, SMS, WAP and PDA.


The series produced by Initial (a part of Endemol UK) will provide the ultimate musical training academy for 12 talented performers culminating in the opportunity of a lifetime which will include a recording contract with Mercury Records.


The Friday night primetime entertainment show will be presented on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE by Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty and programmes will also air through ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Choice, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i and CÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½.


Each week, three students who have not made the grade are put on probation, where they will have to sing for survival.


Viewers hold the fate of one of the students in their hands and vote for who they want to save. The remaining students choose to keep one of the other two probationers.


Viewers can vote live through their TV screen by pressing the red button on the digital satellite and digital cable platforms during programmes, and also via their mobile phone by sending in a text message with the word VOTE + the student's name to shortcode 81123, as given in the programme.


In addition, digital satellite viewers can vote and watch live-link action from inside the Academy outside of broadcast hours by pressing red or accessing the Fame Academy service through the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i-bar (Press Text key for menu).


They can also access exclusive video footage and really get to know the students and teachers through personal profiles, catch up on bitesize news bulletins, watch video highlights of unseen Academy antics, and access a unique service where the viewer can watch ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE as well as the live Fame Academy footage side by side at any time.


Digital Terrestrial viewers can choose between two additional video streams during live Fame Academy broadcasts - a live-link of what's happening there and then and a continuously updated half hour highlights package.


There is also a text service available (Press Text) outside of broadcast hours for DTT and DSat viewers with exclusive student and teacher diaries, plus Fame Academy secrets revealed.


On Digital Cable, viewers can look up more information on the students and teachers personal profiles and learn all about them through their journals, diary columns and photo galleries.


There's also the hottest news snippets, upcoming events and 24-hour viewer voting.

Keep up to the minute with video news bulletins, plus on-demand video clips of all the best Academy action.
